Voldsløkka Stadion in Oslo is actually no stadium, but a large mowed grass field divided into two parts; Front of stage and normal GA with a stage on one side.
As we arrived to the field it was filling up quickly. Most of the people were sat down eating pizza and drinking beer. All of a sudden Bruce peeked out of the tent on the right side of the stage and there was a stage rush.

About an hour before the start I wanted to visit to the toilet for the last time. The line was massive and just as it was my turn it started raining. As I was in the booth I heard the rain patter on the roof and I thought about my rainponcho, that I had left with Oliver on the other side of the pit. When I came out I saw that there was room under the roof by the beer stands, so I made a dash for it. Luckily the shower didn’t last long.
The show started at around 7:30pm with No Surrender. The setlist was pretty basic. The highlights were Darkness On the Edge of Town, Badlands, Bobby Jean and Glory Days. The band delivered a solid set with some glitches, for example during the E Street Shuffle where they kind of had to start over.
I have now attended 14 shows and this was my worst experience so far. The Norwegians love to drink. At the beer stand you could buy a beer for 140 NOK by the mug, or even wine bottles (!) during the concert, and boy did they buy a lot of beer and wine! And they just love to run. To the toilet, to the beer stand, to the toilet, past us and (again) to the beer stand AND they wear backpacks. A group of people in front of us annoyed us so much, we had to move away. We ended up to the far left of the stage where there was more room. Paulina, who was running back and forth to the roll calls for Sunday, joined us at the end and we had a little fun dancing and singing loudly.
As we were headed towards the bus after the show, a long caravan of black cars escorted by a police car passed us and in the front seat of the first black car we spotted Bruce. We gave him a good wave and the graciously waved back.

I was in early. Got a great spot. Surrounded by Norwegian people who were absolutely delightful and well mannered throughout. The only negatives were, in my perception, poor organisation outside prior to entry and the ridiculous rerouting of public transport after the show which meant no buses to take people back to the city or wherever.

I’m glad that you had a better experience than I did and I totally agree with you regarding public transport. We ended up taking a taxi.

Fully agree with your comments, truly awful crowd. Have been told of fights with security at the end. Hope it will be better tomorrow.
