To pick up where I left off in my last entry: We left the first concert a bit early to get a good number for the second show. That meant that we had to participate in the three roll calls during Monday (10am, 2pm and 7pm). The roll calls were in the park next to the venue. On Tuesday (the showday) we first met at 10am and then at 12:30am. After the second roll call we were lead down to the venue, where we had to wait outside in an allocated area.
It was quite warm and sticky to begin with. However, we could see the clouds rolling in and just before admission the rain started. Good that we had brought the proper gear for that occurrence (cue rain ponchos!).
Once in the stadium I waded through the puddles of water in front of the stage until I found Alex, who helped me to a spot at the rails a little bit to the right of the stage. In the end I had friends surrounding me; Alex to my left, Jennifer, Ann-Sofie and Sรธren behind me. After a few hours the rain stopped and we were ready to go.

At about 8:30pm the show finally started. They kicked off with My Love Will Not Let You Down followed by Death to My Hometown, which is a pretty normal second day show start. I donโt know if it was because I was up front but the band seemed more on their toes and Bruceโs voice sounded better than two days ago. After Maryโs Place I saw that something different happened on stage and, sure enough – The beautiful intro of Racing in the Street soared through the air. Damn it! That wasnโt how it was supposed to happen! Oliver and I had wished so much for this song to be played and now I was up front and he was in the back of the pit? (leckmichamarsch) ๐
The rest of the concert then flew by. Bobby Jean and Glory Days were extra fun. Bruce and Steve were goofing around on stage and to me it looked like the whole stadium were on their feet.
To sum this up: I had a great time standing in the front of the pit. The atmosphere was intense and it was exciting to see (and touch) Bruce when he passed by, but in a way he was further away than before. The stage was so high that I could barely see the horn section and not the choir at all, and when Bruce wasnโt on the lower podium I had to kind of look up to see him.
The people you are with (or without) make great deal of how you appreciate a show. #SpringsteenTour2023 is OUR tour and if we both attend a concert we should also appreciate it together.
